My Bio Gary Stager is an internationally recognized educator, speaker and author with 25 years experience creating productive learning environments. In addition to being involved in the development of OMET, Gary led professional development in the world’s first laptop schools (1990), is a collaborator in the MIT Media Lab’s Future of Learning Group and an Associate of the Thornburg Center. As Editor-At-Large for District Administration Magazine, Gary is read monthly by 100,000 school leaders. He regularly consults with schools, governments and industry and is noted for his work with incarcerated teens, as well as homeschoolers. In 1999, Converge Magazine named Gary a “shaper of our future and inventor of our destiny.”

My Professional Activities On February 11th, Gary Stager was thanked from the stage of the 49th Annual Grammy Awards when his colleague, Brian Lynch, won the Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album of the Year.
Gary was the new media producer for the award-winning recording, "The Brian Lynch/Eddie Palmieri Project - Simpático." Gary was involved from the rehearsals through the recording sessions and beyond in efforts to document the creative process and share the work of these brilliant musicians with the world.
